Joelle Jacobs, LCSW

Joelle says: "What I enjoy most is taking the time to build a strong foundation of trust with my clients. I absolutely love what I do and view my job as a privilege."

She began her social work career thinking it would be a career in psychology. She started to explore other programs and found a love for social work after her first class at NCSU for undergrad. She decided to pursue direct practice after becoming a HRSA scholar during her masters program.

Joelle graduated NCSU with a masters in Social Work and became licensed, after a long, tedious, yet rewarding 2 years of clinical hours and supervision. She says, "I don’t find anything more humbling than doing what I do as a therapist. One of my brilliant 16-year old-clients once told me 'God puts his strongest soldiers through the toughest battles!' I now use her as an example of success."
